LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF CLARKSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT #J250-185

Beginning at a point on the meander line of the Snake River where the center line of Sec. 5, Twp. 10 N., R. 46 EWM, Asotin County, Washington, extended easterly intersects meander line; thence West along said center line and the center line of Sec. 6, said Township and Range to the center of said Sec. 6, thence South 1 ½ miles, West 1 mile, South ½ mile, West 1 mile, thence South ½ mile to the mid-point of the South line of Sec. 14, TWP. 10 N., R 45 EWM; thence West 5-¾ miles, South 1 mile, West ¾ mile to the southwest corner of Sec. 23, Twp 10 N., R. 44 EWM; thence South 1 mile, West 2 miles, South 1 mile, West 2 miles, South 1 mile, West 2 miles to the Northwest corner of Sec. 6, Twp. 9 N., R. 44 EWM; thence South ¼ mile, West ½ mile, South ½ mile, West ½ mile, South ¼ mile, West 2 miles to a point on the boundary line between Garfield and Asotin Counties, Washington, at the Southwest corner of Sec. 3, Twp. 9 N., R. 43 EWM; thence North 1 mile along the Asotin-Garfield-Columbia County line to the Northwest corner of Sec. 3; thence West in Garfield County 1 mile, North ¼ mile, East ½ mile, North ½ mile, West ½ mile, North ¾ mile, East ¼ mile, North ½ mile, East ¼ mile, North 1 mile, East ½ mile to the Asotin-Garfield County line at the Northwest corner of Sec. 22, Twp. 10 N., R. 43 EWM, thence North along the Asotin-Garfield County line 3 miles to the Northwest corner of Sec. 3, Twp. 10 N., T. 43 EWM, thence North into Garfield County 2 miles, East 2-¾ miles, North ¼ mile, East ¼ mile, thence North along the line between R. 43 E. and R. 44 E. 3-¾ miles to the Northwest corner of Sec. 6, Twp. 11 N., R. 44 E., thence East along the township line between townships 11 and 12 N., R. 44E., about 5 ½ miles to the meander line of the Snake River; thence Southeasterly along said meander line about 1 mile to where said meander line intersects the range line between ranges 44 and 45, Twp. 11 N., said point being on the Asotin-Garfield County line, thence in Asotin County along said meander line up Snake River to a point where said meander line intersects the section line between Sections 20 and 21, Twp. 11 N., R. 45 E., thence North across the Snake River and into Whitman County, Washington, a distance of about 2 ½ miles to the Northwest corner of Sec. 9, Twp. 11 N., R. 45 EWM, thence East about 7 miles to the Washington-Idaho state Line at the Northeast corner of Sec. 9, Twp. 11 N., R. 46 E.; thence Southerly along said Washington-Idaho State Line about 5 ½ miles To the point of beginning.


Grantham Elementary

Students attending Grantham Elementary are those who live in that portion of Clarkston School District bounded on the north and northeast by the Snake River to Diagonal Street, along Diagonal Street to Chestnut Street, on Chestnut Street west to 15th Street, and then north on 15th Street to the Snake River. Students on the North side of Diagonal and Chestnut streets will attend Grantham Elementary School.

 

Parkway Elementary

Parkway Elementary students will come from that portion of the district north of 16th Avenue beginning at Southway Bridge to 13th Street, then north on 13th Street to Chestnut Street, east on Chestnut Street to Diagonal Street, then northeast on Diagonal Street to the Snake River.

 

Highland Elementary

Highland Elementary students live in that portion of the district south of 16th Avenue from Southway Bridge to 13th Street, then north on 13th Street to Chestnut Street, west on Chestnut Street to 15th Street and north to the Snake River. Students on both sides of 16th Avenue, West side of 13th Street, South side of Chestnut Street and West side of 15th Street will attend Highland.

 

Heights Elementary

Students will attend Heights Elementary from that portion of the district referred to as Clarkston Heights, beginning at a point above Highway 12 and the end of Florence Lane, then along the ridge above Bennett Lumber Company and Early Bird Supply. Continue along the ridge to and across Peaslee Avenue to the south end of Clarkston Heights at 10th Avenue and Grandview.
